Achiever Work Experience Program


What is Achiever Work Experience?
Vacation work within Australia’s leading accounting organisations, for first year university students. Gain knowledge, money and first hand experience of your chosen profession.

Who is eligible?

  1. First years studying either a Bachelor of Accounting, Bachelor of Commerce, or Bachelor of Business with an Accounting major
  2. Australian citizens or permanent residents
  3. You must be available for interviews at your local Institute office
  4. You need to be available during university holidays and be able to complete: a 2 to 12 week placement (placement length will vary dependent on the employer and state for which you apply).

There are a few exceptions to the above:

  1. In Tasmania, applications are open to first and second year business students.
  2. In Adelaide, there is also an Achiever program for second year International accounting students.
  3. If you were a second semester enrolment in 2007 you can apply for the program in 2008 citing your results from semester II, 2007
  4. If you are enrolling in second semester in 2008 you will need to apply for the program in 2009.

When and Where?

The Achiever Work Experience program is run in Sydney, Newcastle, Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart, Launceston, Adelaide and Perth during August/September each year.
