What would be your advice to aspiring Chartered Accountants?

I believe that an accounting degree and the Chartered Accounting experience are a fantastic base for a successful commercial career. Chartered Accounting can give you such a broad understanding of many facets of business. Not enough accountants use their position to best advantage in terms of understanding the business and giving themselves the opportunity to move from a straight accounting role into more general management.
