Chartered Accountants are engaged in a variety of interesting and satisfying careers with the potential for above average rewards in both tangible and intangible terms. However, these privileges bring with them above average responsibilities, challenges and risks. Stress in our professional and personal lives can arise over time or suddenly and without warning.

We all have different tolerance levels to stress and when an issue becomes all-consuming or when combinations of pressures come together, the result can be serious unless the problems are addressed quickly. At these times it is important to have someone to turn to who is experienced in the profession, who understands the issues and is able to provide advice and support.

The Chartered Accountants Advisory Group (CAAG) is made up of senior Chartered Accountants who are available to assist fellow members with advice and support. Separate groups will operate in the various States, including here in Western Australia, but under the same guidelines. Members of WA CAAG are:

  • Frank Cornelius(Chairman)
  • Geoff Brayshaw
  • Tony Connolly
  • Stephen Court
  • Gail Curtis
  • Andrew Edwards
  • Paul Freedman
  • Ron Louis
  • Derek Parkin
  • Vincent Smith
  • Judy Vos
  • David Ward
  • Duncan Warren
