City of Canning 
Audit Committee – External member required 
 
The Council is seeking a community member with suitable financial management qualifications and/or experience to contribute to City of Canning Audit Committee. 
 
The successful person must be independent of Council and be able to participate in the Committee, through their extensive knowledge of financial reporting, business management and corporate compliance. The Committee’s main functions revolve around the Audit of Annual Financial Statement, but may include assisting Council with activities such as Local Government Compliance, Insurance and Risk Strategies and Strategic Financial Management.

Swimming WA is part of Swimming Australia which is a not for profit organisation responsible for the promotion and development of swimming in Australia. The Board requires a financial professional to lead the finance committee in a voluntary capacity. Committee duties include attendance at monthly meetings and the Annual General Meeting as well as making recommendations to the Board.

Honorary Auditor required for the East Perth District Basketball Association (Inc.) (EPDBA) 
 
EPDBA has been established for over 60 years and is at the Morley Sports and Recreation Centre. They have West Australian Basketball League teams in all divisions as well as the Australian Central Eagles in the Men’s and Women's State Basketball League. A Saturday junior competition is run as well as a program for future basketballers aged 4 – 8 years old.
