The Young Professionals Community Service Award is awarded annually by the Regional Chair and stems from the recognition that being a young professional Chartered Accountant carries with it a responsibility to the community at large, not just the an expectation of diligent performance of professional duties. The award recognises the individual’s contribution to the community not the profession.

Community Service is defined broadly as any activity that can be demonstrated to have benefited the community at large, for example environmental, human rights, education, health, political or voluntary work. Past winners have been associated with St Vincent De Paul, Rotary, Oxfam and Breast Cancer research.
