The Victorian Corporate Advisory Panel’s (VCAP) aim is to ensure the interests of Chartered Accountants in the corporate sector are effectively represented and that the Institute remains relevant with a value proposition for these members, with a particular emphasis on identifying and communicating best practice processes to complement the Institute’s best technical knowledge.

The Institute’s revised Quality Control Guide is now available online.
The Institute’s popular Quality Control Guide has been updated and now includes all revisions up to and including March 2009. This second edition replaces the first Quality Control Guide, which was published in October 2006.


The role of accountants and the financial services industry
The government is currently conducting a wide range of financial services reviews that include the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Corporations and Financial Services, an Inquiry into Financial Products and Services in Australia and the recently announced review into the superannuation industry. The Institute as a key stakeholder will be submitting responses to these reviews and encourages member feedback.
