Government tenders and how to get limited liability

Our profession is now covered by the limited liability scheme, you are also covered by the scheme when tendering for government business, whereas previously the liability was unlimited. 
After talking with the Department of Treasury and Finance they advised there was an exemption for firms covered by a scheme under the Professional Standards Act.

This is excellent news for any firm tendering for business with the government. It may be wise to be aware that many government departments who you have dealt with in the past may not be aware of the change. Please advise them that the new scheme is in place and is covered by the guideline as directed by the department of Treasury and Finance.
