Responding to the emergence of the ’practice manager’ role across a variety of professional services firms, the foundations were laid for a practice manager’s group over a working lunch recently. The group of general managers; CEOs and practice managers, drawn from accounting and legal firms, made valuable contributions to the development of the group. To round out the professional services moniker practice managers from engineering and architecture firms will also be included. 
 
A number of topics of interest that resonated with those in attendance were captured for future meetings. The level of collaboration and enthusiasm around the table suggested there was obviously a need for a group like this and hopefully it will continue with the same level of vigour!
