NSW Council: The Council meets on Monday, 13 October 2008 and the main part of this meeting will provide Council with an opportunity for input to the Institute's strategic planning process. 
 
Following the Council meeting the NSW Region Annual General Meeting will take place in the Institute’s offices at 5.30pm.  
 
The agenda for the AGM is:

  • To confirm the minutes of the 2007 Annual (Ordinary) General Meeting 
  • To receive the report of NSW Council 
  • To elect three Councillors 
  • To transact any other business which, under the By-laws, may be transacted at an Ordinary General Meeting 
  • Presentation to members celebrating 25, 40 and 50 year anniversary of membership.
I encourage members to attend the meeting to congratulate their colleagues on achieving these significant milestones. Please email Margaret Brewer in the NSW regional office if you will be attending to assist with catering. 
 
New publications: I would like to congratulate Institute management on the development of the very popular Audit Manual and toolkit, and the Independence guide: interpretations in a co-regulatory environment. I am pleased to see the Institute supporting members by providing this timely and professional guidance. These guides are available from the Institute's website at:
