Annual General Meeting 
The Annual (Ordinary) General Meeting of ACT members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia will be held in the Offices of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, Level 10, 60 Marcus Clarke Street, Canberra on Wednesday, 15 October 2008 at 6.00pm  
 
Members are invited to join the Council for light refreshments following the meeting. For catering purposes, please advise Debbie Harper at the Institute, if you will be attending by Wednesday, 8 October 2008.  
 
Sporting Event Lunch  
You are invited to attend a lunch at the Institute Offices to discuss the opportunity of holding sporting events in 2009.

Chartered Accountants Certificate Presentation 
On Thursday, 9 October 2008 we are reinvigorating our annual certificate presentation this year by celebrating the timing of the achievements of our new members and FCA’s in conjunction with the 25, 40 and 50 year membership over dinner at the Boat House.  
 
Budget and Financial Essentials course 
I encourage you to participate in the Budget and Financial Essentials Program. The Program delivers comprehensive training on the Australian Commonwealth Government financial management framework for the Australian public sector and has been update to include amendments required by the Rudd government.
