The ACT Regional Council has commenced its planning for 2009 in order to continue delivering value to the membership and our community. 
 
Chartered Accountants Speakers Program 
One of the marketing and information drives planned for 2009 includes expanding the Chartered Accountants Speakers Program. As awareness increases in the ACT, the need for speakers becomes increasingly fundamental. In 2009 high schools and university presentations will increase and so it is important that we have the resources to promote our profession to the students in the ACT region.  
 
The Chartered Accountants Speakers Program provides Chartered Accountants the opportunity to speak to high school and university students about a career as a Chartered Accountant. 
 
The program has previously been very successful and provides excellent networking/promoting opportunities. My thanks go to the people who have dedicated their time so far to this great initiative.
