The Australian Auditing Manual

The Australian Auditing Manual has been developed to explain and illustrate a greater understanding of conducting audits in compliance with the Australian Auditing Standards (ASAs), not as a substitute. The Manual provides, by way of a comprehensive case study, illustrations of:

• Planning and performing risk assessment procedures
• Understanding the client and responding to risks
• Audit documentation, evaluating audit evidence and reporting.

The Manual is a practical ‘how to’ guide, based on typical small to medium enterprise audits.

How will you access the Manual?

Member access: For the purpose of better educating and training professionals and students, maintaining high quality auditing and serving the public interest, the Manual is available to download at no cost to members. Please follow these instructions:

1. Click on the red “buy now” button located above to the right
2. You will be taken to another page which lists Institute products for sale or available to download at no cost. Select the Australian Audit Manual from the list and click on “add item”
3. If you have not already done so, log in to the Institute’s website using your member number
