If you are licensed or registered in one of the following specialist areas, your Training & Development requirements have changed.

  • Registered company auditor
  • Registered company liquidator
  • Registered tax agent
  • Registered trustee in bankruptcy
  • Licensed municipal auditor (or its equivalent)
  • Financial Planning Specialist
From July 2004 you will be required to allocate 40% of your total minimum Training & Development hours to your specialisation (for example, tax agents are required to undertake at least 40% of their hours in tax-related Training & Development). If you have more than two of these statutory registrations will have to dedicate 40% of your Training & Development hours to each of those specialist areas (for example, if you have three specialist designations you will need to undertake 120% of the minimum hours normally required).

These changes are designed to support you to achieve the high standards expected of members providing services to the public. To ensure these new requirements are met the ICAA will continue to undertake random checks of members’ Training and Development hours.
