This week, the Institute launched www.business-leader.tv, a new online resource containing expert commentary, debate and practical resources to help shape the future of business and the accounting profession. Full details can be found in this e-Bulletin, along with news of a major forum in February that will tackle a range of major domestic and international tax issues.

Upholding the brand: monitoring and discipline in 2008 During 2008, the Institute monitored members' adherence to professional standards and legal requirements. This included conducting hundreds of quality reviews, which suggest that there is room for improvement in some practices. In addition, investigations into alleged or suspected misconduct were undertaken and, where necessary, sanctions imposed. more >
