With an acute skills shortage affecting the recruitment of quality employees in the accounting profession, the Institute is giving organisations across Australia, the opportunity to participate in the Chartered Accountants Achiever Work Experience Program.  
 
What is the Chartered Accountants Achiever Work Experience Program? 
The program is a paid work placement program for first year business and commerce students interested in a career in accounting. The finest accounting students are selected from around the country and placed in top accounting and commercial organisations. 
 
The length of the placement and nature of work can vary according to an organisation’s needs and requirements. Past Achievers have assisted on existing projects or been given their own projects to complete and present at the end of their placement. Students are paid during the placement according to bookkeeper wages. 
 
Students that pass the initial application undergo a rigorous selection process involving group activities and one-on-one interviews with Institute personnel and recruiters from accounting firms.  
 
The Achiever Work Experience Program allows employers to:
