The newly appointed Regional Councillors will provide direction for the ongoing management and operation of issues directly impacting the Institute’s regional members including, public policy, government legislation and regulation.

The Councillors’ appointment was welcomed by the Institute’s Australian Capital Territory General Manager, Ms Renee Le Grande who said their experience and expertise in accounting, taxation, assurance and government, would bring valuable insights to the Council’s discussions.

Mr McDonnell holds a Master in Business Administration (MBA) and is a Fellow of the Institute. He currently manages the accounting and taxation functions at ActewAGL and has been a Council member for three years including the position of Chair. “The Councillors hold valuable knowledge of the industry which will be well received in council discussions. Mr McDonnell brings an extensive understanding of the ACT Regional Council as well as tax and accounting issues.

“Mr King’s focus in promoting the Institute’s Chartered Accounting Program to graduates and Mr Field’s experience with the Federal Government, will contribute valuable input to Council deliberations,” said Ms Le Grande.
