More than 380 accountants in 23 teams battled it out for trophies in the annual Institute of Chartered Accountants (the Institute) Football Carnival last weekend at McGillvray Oval in Mount Claremont. An additional 150 supporters cheered on or consoled their teams.
On the day $580 was donated towards the Institute’s charity partners Camp Quality and the RSPCA.
Mr Gary Arcus, West Australian General Manager for the Institute said: “Some of our Chartered Accountants showed great talent on the field. They have clearly been working on their football skills as hard as they work on their financial skills.”
“The touch rugby carnival showed our members can be flexible and creative while keeping within the rules. It’s great that Chartered Accounting companies, large and small are providing interesting and varied workplaces through their commitment to these sporting events, ” Mr Arcus continued.
Winning teams included, Ernst and Young (Football A Division), Shakespeare Partners (Football B Division) and Deloittes (Touch Rugby).
