Long standing members and recent graduates receive tick of approval

Chartered Accountants who have been long standing members with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (the Institute) for 25 years, and new Fellows will be acknowledged on Thursday 9 October, at The Boathouse by the lake along with recent graduates of the Chartered Accountants Program.  
 
Ms Renee Le Grande, Australian Capital Territory General Manager for the Institute said: “We continue to acknowledge long standing members of the Institute as they have played a significant part in its growth and development over the last 80 years.” 
 
Ninety seven candidates who recently completed the Chartered Accountants Program will also be recognised at the ceremony. 
 
“Despite the skills shortage in the accounting profession, over the past few years the number of candidates completing the Chartered Accountants Program has increased. This is testament to the increasing appeal of the industry to young people, helping to cement the profession’s future,” Ms Le Grande continued.  
 
The Chartered Accountants Program offers postgraduate training with mentored work experience, enabling graduates to develop superior technical skills and real business ability. It is also highly regarded by Australia’s largest accounting firms including, KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst and Young and Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu and is recognised in the major capital markets of Europe, North America and Asia. 
 
The ceremony will be held on Thursday, 9 October at 6.45pm, the Boathouse.
