On Tuesday, 20 May more than 300 high school students interested in exploring a career in the accounting profession and business, are expected to gather at Subiaco Oval for Meet the Leader event.

Meet the Leader will provide an opportunity for Year 10, 11 and 12 high school students to hear from Chartered Accountants themselves and find out more about the broad array of benefits a career as an accountant can bring.

Con Abbott, Western Australia General Manager for the Institute of Chartered Accountants said, “The Chartered Accountants qualification offers students the flexibility and skills needed to maximise their career opportunities in an ever changing and complex global business environment.”

“Chartered Accountants are very much in demand, in accounting firms and all levels of business and government. And with the current skills shortage expected to continue to create demand, it is a great time for students to consider the opportunities available from a career in accounting,” he added.
