On Wednesday, 4 June more than 100 high school students from south-east Queensland interested in exploring a career as a Chartered Accountant, are expected to gather at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre for the Meet the Business Leader event.

Meet the Business Leader is an event hosted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (the Institute). It will provide an opportunity for Year 10 and 11 high school students to hear from Chartered Accountants themselves and find out more about the benefits a career as a Chartered Accountant can bring.

Simon Grant, Queensland General Manager for the Institute said, “The Chartered Accountants qualification offers students the flexibility and skills needed to maximise their career opportunities.”

“Chartered Accountants are in demand, in accounting firms, business and government. And with the current skills shortage expected to continue to create demand, it is a great time for students to consider the opportunities available from a career in accounting,” he added.
