The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Adelaide today announced the appointment of Ms Yvonne Sneddon to the role of chairperson to the South Australian Regional Council.  
 
The Council provides advice to the Institute National Board on strategic policy and member issues in South Australia. 
 
The Council also acts as a link between the National Board and South Australian members and assists in liaison with the State Government on relevant issues. 
 
Institute South Australian Regional Manager, Mark Jones, has welcomed the appointment of Yvonne Sneddon as chair.  
 
‘Regional Council plays a crucial role in ensuring issues affecting South Australian accounting professionals are acted upon by the industry’s peak advocacy body,’ Mr Jones said.  
 
‘I am pleased that such high calibre Chartered Accountant will be holding a leadership role on the Council’. 
 
Ms Sneddon brings a wealth of business acumen to the role. She was a Partner in Deloitte Growth Solutions in Adelaide, after a successful term as Partner at Ferrier Hodgson, Chartered Accountants.  
 
In May 2004 Yvonne relinquished her partnership with Deloitte to focus on her career as a professional company director with board appointments in both the private and public sectors.  
 
Yvonne has extensive experience with various Government agencies as well as been involved in various educational committees and boards for both Flinders University and University of South Australia.

Yvonne Sneddon is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, with over 25 years experience providing financial services and advice to both Public and Private Sector clients. Yvonne holds a BA in Accounting, is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
