Factsheet eight in the global economic downturn series, examines the importance of communication in the change management process. 
 
Author, Campbell McArthur CA, says that the global economic downturn, 'will force many businesses to instigate programmes of stratgic change...formulated through intricate examination of a range of factors.'  
 
Campbell expands on this and suggests that it is the communication of these changes that plays a critical role to the success of the change. An effective communication plan, and following that plan allows management to have greater control of the change and promotes, 'a better attitude to change,' throughout the entire organisation.
