Member services: Mid-year update to the members' handbook coming soon

Chartered Accountants can access the next update to the Members' handbook from Monday 20 August 2007. This release will capture all amendments to accounting, auditing and professional standards and regulations up to 10 July 2007. 
 
Online handbook - your first reference 
The Members' handbook is now updated online every eight weeks, making it the most comprehensive guide to the standards, by-laws and regulations that affect Chartered Accountants in Australia. 
 
This release includes:

  • ASA 2007-1 together with the compiled auditing standards: ASA 200, ASA 210, ASA 510, ASA 570, ASA 700, ASA 701, ASA 710, ASA 800 and ASRE 2410 
  • New accounting standards AASB 2007-5, AASB 2007-6 and AASB 2007-7, revised standard AASB 123, together with compiled standards AASB 107, AASB 120, AASB 127, AASB 128, AASB 131 and AASB 136 
  • A revision to Regulation 1 - Chartered Accountants Program.
 
If you regularly refer to these standards or regulations in your line of work, the Institute encourages you to log onto the Members' handbook to review the amendments.  
 
CD ROM handbook - out this week 
Auditors, regional practitioners and other members who work remotely or at client premises may benefit from the CD ROM version of the Members' handbook, which can be downloaded directly onto their hard drive. 
 
Members who have subscribed to the CD ROM should have received their latest version in the last week. If you have not received it, please contact the Institute's Customer Service Centre on 1300 137 322.
