The Institute has an Affiliation Agreement with the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia (IPAA).  
 
We act as a Foundation Body to ensure the Professional Conduct of any of our Members is consistent with the Professional Conduct of all our Members regardless of their speciality. 
 
Subject to this understanding we refer all insolvency to the IPAA via ipaa.com.au 
 
The IPAA is an independent, self-governing Association of Insolvency Specialists, the majority of whom are Chartered Accountants. 
 
Chartered Accountants are predominant in the field of Insolvency and Reconstruction from both the Creditors and Debtors perspective. 
 
Since Insolvency and Reconstruction has become such a specialised field, the Institute recognises this as a post qualification career path. You can find information regarding Training and Certification at the IPAA website.
