Cover options 
Along with your 10 per cent member discount, you can chose from 5 cover options, depending on your circumstances and those of others likely to drive your car:

  • Comprehensive - This policy provides the most complete protection, regardless of the number of licensed drivers using the vehicle. It covers you against theft, fire and damage to your car, as well as damage you may cause to another person’s car or property

  • Preferred Driver - If you’re a more experienced driver over the age of 24, and others under 24 won’t be driving the car, you can take out a full comprehensive policy at a discounted price
    •  
  • Nominated Driver - If there will only be two drivers over the age of 21, this policy offers comprehensive cover at a good price
    •  
  • Legal Liability - This provides cover for damage you may cause to another person’s car or property, but does not cover your own car. A special Uninsured Driver Protection cover can be included under this policy
    •  
  • Legal Liability, Fire and Theft - This is an extension of the Legal Liability policy, which provides cover if your car is stolen or damaged in a fire.
For new cars, a Four Year New Car Replacement policy Insure your brand new car with QBE within two years of purchase, and if it’s written off within the first four years of ownership or 100,000kms, it will be replaced with a new one (conditions apply). 
 
A range of ways to save 
On top of your 10 per cent member discount, there are other ways to enjoy discounts on your premium:
  • Car security discount - After market accessories like alarms and immobilisers can reduce the amount you pay

  • Over 50s discount - If you’re a little older and more experienced, your premium will reflect the lower-risk nature of your demographic

  • New car discount - If you’re taking on the expense of a brand new vehicle, you’ll appreciate this saving

  • No Claim Bonus - If you’ve been claim-free for a period of 12 months or more, you can qualify for a No Claim Bonus of up to 60 per cent off the usual premium.
