Following the release of the 2006 Work-life Balance Report, the Institute convened three focus groups in Melbourne comprising of human resources managers from commerce, mid-tier firms and the Big 4 accounting firms to further explore the issue of how organisations can better provide employees with a work-life balance.
A summary of the deliberations and suggestions that emerged from these focus groups are detailed in this report.
In today's work environment, achieving a work-life balance is not only desirable, for employers its is a necessity.
The results of this study confirm that a work-life balance is a draw card for many employees and one that will keep them with an organisation, working to their optimal level, once they are on board.
