The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia represents the needs of members in the superannuation industry. 
 
Our focus for APRA regulated funds is on accounting, audit and fund governance issues. While for Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs), we focus on a broader range of areas incorporating tax and administrative matters. 
 
The Institute, via the Big 4 members of the Superannuation Committee, assisted the AuASB with the development of guidance on the Audit of Risk Management Strategies and Plan. We are also working closely with the AASB on the revision of AAS 25 – Accounting for Superannuation Plans.
