The Institute has jointly submitted a submission with CPA Australia on IFRIC Draft Interpretation D24 Customer Contributions. In our view, D24 as drafted is not flexible enough to cope with the variety of contracts that are in use at present, including those that are the subject of the AASB’s Interpretation 1017 Developer and Customer Contributions for Connection to a Price-Regulated Network, and we would prefer to see an interpretation that is far more principles based.
