Where can I find my exam details? 
Can I sit my exam in another state from the one where I am attending my focus sessions? 
Is the exam open-book? 
I can’t make it to my exam on the specified date. Can I just sit the supplementary exam?

Q: Where can I find my exam details? 
 
A: Exam details are released on the Institute’s secure website under 'My Education' 
 
You will be advised as to when the exam details are released via an announcement on myCA.

Q: Can I sit my exam in another state from the one where I am attending my focus sessions? 
 
A: Yes. When enrolling into your module, you are given the option to choose which state and region in which you wish to sit your exam.  
 
If you decide to change your preference after enrolling, you will need to put your request in writing to service@charteredaccountants.com.au

Q: Is the exam open-book? 
 
A: Yes - each exam is open book. In your Candidate Learning Pack you are advised which texts are required for the module and any additional text that may be of assistance throughout the module.

Q: I can’t make it to my exam on the specified date. Can I just sit the supplementary exam? 
 
A: If you are unable to attend an exam due to extenuating circumstances such as an illness or a death in the family then you may apply for special consideration and sit for the supplementary exam. 
 
Please note that work commitments or any personal arrangements (e.g. being invited to a wedding) are not acceptable reasons missing an exam. The exam dates are outlined on the CA Program timetable.

Q: What is a symbol number and how do I find out what my symbol number is? 
 
A: Your symbol number is the number which you need to take to your exam. This will assist you in finding your allocated seat inside the exam venue. 
 
You are advised of your symbol number when your exam details are released on the Institute’s Secure website
