Do you need my original transcript? 
Who can certify a copy of my Academic Transcript?

Q: Do you need my original transcript? 
 
A: You can supply either an original or a certified copy of your Academic Transcripts.

Q: Who can certify a copy of my Academic Transcript? 
 
A: The following people/agents are acceptable authorities for certifying documents: 
 
  • Australian Chartered Accountant (must include membership number)
  •  
  • Australian Embassy cCnsulate/High Commission staff
  •  
  • University official (must include university stamp as well as signature)
  •  
  • Notary public
  •  
  • Solicitor, legal practitioner, magistrate
  •  
  • Justice of the Peace
  •  
  • Commissioner for declarations
  •  
  • Commissioner for Affidavits
  •  
  • Commissioner for Oaths
  •  
  • Police Officer (in Australia only)
  •  
  • Pharmacist (in Australia only)
  •  
  • Postal Manager (in Australia only)
  •  
  • Australian Registered Migration Agent (must include MARA registration number)
 
 
Alternatively you can take the original and a photocopy of your transcript into one of the Institute’s State Offices and we can verify that the original has been sighted.

Q: Can I give you a transcript I have printed off the internet? 
 
A: No - all transcripts must be the official transcript provided by the University. Any non-official transcripts will not be accepted.

Q: If I submit my original transcript, will you return it to me? 
 
A: Original transcripts will not be returned unless requested and a stamped addressed envelope has been provided. Please allow 5-10 working days after the commencement of the module to receive your documents.

Q: When do I need to submit my transcript by? 
 
A: All academic transcripts need to be submitted by the specified close of enrolments date.  
 
If you have any issues in providing any supporting documents by the required date you need to advise the Institute in writing via service@charteredaccountants.com.au. We will contact you to advise whether an extension has been granted, and the extension date should you qualify.

Q: When do I get my Academic Transcript for the Graduate Diploma in Chartered Accounting? 
 
A: Upon successful completion of your final module of the Graduate Diploma in Chartered Accounting you will receive the: 
  • Academic Transcript of results
  •  
  • Diploma Certificate
