The Institute has launched an updated and expanded student website to support the ongoing campaign to attract a new generation to Chartered Accounting careers.

Investing in the future

The new section of the Chartered Accountants website will help the Institute build ongoing relationships with students (both secondary and tertiary) and recent university graduates. The website provides relevant and practical information about Chartered Accounting and is an effective channel to connect students and employers.

As well as a wide selection of articles, the new website includes vodcasts (video webcasts) that can be downloaded or streamed online. Viewers will be able to see and hear these insider’s guides to Chartered Accounting – sure to be appreciated by media-savvy audiences.

A free service

The Institute’s student website is free to students who have registered online. The site will be updated regularly, providing a valuable source of information about study, the accounting industry and work opportunities. The Institute will also feature a range of inspiring member stories about their career success on the website and in vodcasts throughout the year.

Employers are welcome to take a look at the site or recommend it to staff, graduates and job hunters.

Helping to connect employers and students

To help meet the various needs of employers in today’s recruitment market, the Institute has developed the Employer Participation Guide to showcase member firms and other Chartered Accounting organisations involved in 2009’s student and candidate recruitment programs.

Located on the new website, it allows students to search for employers by state or event and provides links to company job search profiles or the organisation's website to give maximum impact.

To take part in the Employer Participation Guide or tell your story in an upcoming vodcast, send an email to lea.parker@charteredaccountants.com.au
