Certificate Presentation Ceremonies

The Institute of Chartered Accountants are delighted to host special events to celebrate the achievements of both members and Chartered Accountants Program candidates. 
 
Please find below details of the next event offered in your region. 
 
Australian Capital Territory 
A celebration is held annually in Canberra for:

  • New members who have recently joined the Institute;  
  • Members who have been invited to become Fellows of the Institute; and  
  • Chartered Accountants Program Merit Award recipients.
The next ceremony will be held on 15th October 2009. 
 
To be eligible for this event, Chartered Accountants Program graduates will need to have joined membership by August 2008.

New South Wales 
A celebration is held tri-annually in Sydney for:
  • New members who have recently joined the Institute;  
  • Members who have been invited to become Fellows of the Institute; and 
  • recent Chartered Accountants Program Merit Award recipients.
The next ceremony for 2009 will be held on Wednesday 5 August 2009 at the Sofitel Wentworth, Sydney. 
 
To be eligible for the August ceremony, Chartered Accountants Program graduates will need to have been accepted into membership between February and June 2009.

Northern Territory 
A celebration is held annually in Darwin for:
  • New members who have recently joined the Institute;  
  • Members who have been invited to become Fellows of the Institute; and  
  • Chartered Accountants Program Merit Award recipients.

Queensland 
Celebrations are held bi-annually in Brisbane and annually in regional Queensland for:
  • New members who have recently joined the Institute;  
  • Members who have been invited to become Fellows of the Institute; and 
  • Chartered Accountants Program Merit Award recipients.

To be eligible for one of these next events, Chartered Accountants Program graduates will need to have joined membership by the beginning of July 2009.

South Australia 
A Presentation of Certificates Ceremony is held annually in Adelaide for:
  • New members who have recently joined the Institute;  
  • Members who have been invited to become Fellows of the Institute; and  
  • Chartered Accountants Program Merit Award recipients.

Tasmania 
Celebrations are held annually in Hobart (in November) and Launceston (in February) for:
  • New members who have recently joined the Institute; 
  • Current members of the Institute; 
  • Members who have been invited to become Fellows of the Institute; and  
  • Chartered Accountants Program Merit Award recipients.
 
The next event will be held in Hobart on Thursday 12 November 2009. Invitations will be sent out in September/October 2009.

Victoria 
A celebration is held bi-annually in Melbourne for:
  • New members who have recently joined the Institute; and  
  • Members who have been invited to become Fellows of the Institute.
To be eligible for the next event on Wednesday, 24 June 2009, Chartered Accountants Program graduates will need to have been admitted into membership by Friday, 5 June 2009. 
 
Chartered Accountants Program merit recipients are invited to a tri-annual Merit Presentation Evening. The next event will be held on Wednesday 16 September 2009 and will include merit recipients from EBA308, TAX109 & FIN109.

Western Australia 
A celebration is held annually in Perth for:
  • New members who have recently joined the Institute;
  • Members who have been invited to become Fellows of the Institute; and 
  • recent Chartered Accountants Program Merit Award recipients.
To be eligible for the next event in March, Chartered Accountants Program graduates will need to have joined membership by the end of December 2008. 
 
Malaysia & Singapore 
A celebration is held annually for:
  • New members who have recently joined the Institute;  
  • Members who have been invited to become Fellows of the Institute; and  
  • Chartered Accountants Program Merit Award recipients.
