Accounting has become an even more portable career choice with the Institute’s exclusive Australian membership to the Global Accounting Alliance. With mutual recognition agreements in place with the other accounting bodies, once you become a member of the Institute you can also become a member of:

• Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants
• Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants
• Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales
• Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ireland
• New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants
• South African Institute of Chartered Accountants

As a member of the GAA, members can apply for membership of as many GAA member bodies as they require provided they maintain full membership of their home institute and meet the training and development requirements of one GAA body.
