Plan your progression to avoid unwanted study gaps

Important note – new pairing of Modules from Term 2, 2009 and impact on progression:

In response to employer feedback, the pairing of technical modules is changing from Term 2, 2009 which means TAX will be paired with AAA and FIN with MAA. This re-pairing means that candidates need to be careful in their selection of modules to avoid any unwanted study gaps. To assist, the below table shows pathways to select to avoid study gaps for candidates commencing the program from Term 2 2008:

Candidates undertaking MAA308 as their final technical module:
It is important to note that due to the repairing, MAA will not be offered again after MAA308 until MAA309 in Term 3, 2009. As a result, all candidates who fail MAA308 as their final technical module will be permitted to sit the supplementary exam for this module without meeting the minimum final exam mark of 20. Candidates with marks below 20 should plan additional exam preparation to maximise their chance of success.

Module progression requirements:

  • Candidates may only enrol in one module per term
  • Enrolments are applications only. Enrolments are confirmed once the candidate’s eligibility to undertake a module is confirmed. If a candidate is found to be ineligible to enrol, the full module fee will be refunded.

Please note that the late enrolment fee is non-refundable.

  • Candidates must submit their enrolment application and all required documents by the published enrolment or late enrolment close date.
  • There is no pre-requisite order for the technical modules – they can be studied in any order and regardless of performance in prior technical modules.
  • Candidates must have sat their final technical module exam before the commencement date of their chosen EBA module.
  • Candidates sitting the supplementary exam for their final technical module, must await to receive their supplementary exam results to confirm eligibility before they can enrol in an EBA module.
  • Where candidates final technical module results are released BEFORE the enrolment close date of their chosen EBA module, they should wait to receive these results to confirm their eligibility before enrolling.
  • Where candidates final technical module results are released AFTER the enrolment close date of their chosen EBA module, they should proceed with their enrolment by the closing date. If they are subsequently unsuccessful in their final technical module, candidates will be automatically discontinued from EBA with a full refund of module fees less a $100 administration charge. Please note that the late enrolment fee is non-refundable.
  • Where candidates EBA results are released BEFORE the enrolment close date of the next EBA module, and they should wait to receive these results to confirm if they need to repeat before enrolling.
  • Where candidates EBA results are released AFTER the enrolment close date of the next EBA module, and they wish to backstop enrol (just in case they are not successful in their recent attempt) they should proceed to enrol by the published enrolment close date. In this case, candidates who subsequently pass their prior EBA module will be automatically discontinued from their current EBA module and issued a refund of their full module fee. Please note that the late enrolment fee is non-refundable.
