The Institute has released an audit manual that will enable small and medium practices (SMPs) in particular, to readily comply with Australia's legally enforceable auditing standards. It will enable SMPs to refresh their audit methodology.

The Institute realises how hard it can be to keep up to date with changing audit requirements and has therefore, developed the Australian Auditing Manual and Toolkit to assist practitioners in conducting audits in line with the necessary requirements.

Australian Auditing Manual

The Australian Auditing Manual has been developed to explain and illustrate a greater understanding of conducting audits in compliance with the Australian Auditing Standards (ASAs), not as a substitute. The Manual provides, by way of a comprehensive case study, illustrations of:

  • Planning and performing risk assessment procedures
  • Understanding the client and responding to risks
  • Audit documentation, evaluating audit evidence and reporting.
The Manual is a practical ‘how to’ guide, based on typical small to medium enterprise audits.

The Toolkit can be either tailored to individual practices or left as is. As is the norm in the general marketplace, it is entirely up to you as to which products and services you choose to purchase and which companies you choose to do business with.

While we can assure you that the Institute has stringent criteria for product/service selection, the Institute makes no warranties as to the character or quality of the products or services and the final purchase decision rests with the individual.
