The Institute has released a resource tool which will enable members to be aware of the voluntary and mandatory industry reporting requirements for energy, emissions and pollutants that may apply to their organisation. 
 
The tools range from summaries to online calculators designed to assist in measuring an individual organisation’s emissions.  
 
The collection of reporting tools cover a range of environmental reporting initiatives and have been sourced from a variety of different organisations including government and global organisations. The tools include energy efficiency opportunities; business reporting on the type and amounts of pollutants they produce; the greenhouse challenge program that enables companies to work with the federal government to improve their energy efficiency and the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act (NGER Act), which is the mandatory national system for reporting greenhouse gas emissions, abatement actions and energy consumption and production commencing Tuesday, 1 July 2008.
