Employment evenings
Employers at the Institute’s Employment Evenings value the high calibre of the students that they met.

Held over the last two months in Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth the careers fair style event is where employers were available to talk to students about their organisation and the graduate positions available.

‘I spoke to some employers at the Victoria, Canberra and Perth events and they were impressed by the high standard of students they talked with,’ reported the Institute’s National Careers Marketing Manager, Tamera Bradley.

Over 1500 third and final year university students attended nationally and more than 35 employers participated in each state.

Achiever Work Experience Program
Employers are now on the look out for potential Achiever Work Experience students. Open to first year university students the program provides paid work experience positions to students during their summer holidays. This year applications will open on Monday 21 July and close Friday 12 September in NSW, ACT, Vic, Tas and SA.

Students apply online to the Institute and applications are assessed by a panel of Institute staff, employers and university careers specialists. Suitable applicants are then interviewed by Institute staff and volunteer employer representatives to create a shortlist of candidates.
