Corporate: Institute appoints academic advisor



Professor Allen Craswell has been appointed as the Institute's academic advisor to provide leadership for the Institute in building and maintaining constructive and mutually beneficial relations with the Australian academic community. 
 
The newly created role will see Allen liaise with members of the academic community to identify the strategic direction of academic relationship management and university accreditation policy. 
 
Allen has held a number of academic roles having been a Professor of Accounting at the University of Queensland and prior to this, Professor and Head of Department at the University of Sydney as well as teaching appointments at other universities.    
He has also published international accounting journals and for many years was the author of Who Audits Australia? from 1992 to 1994, he was a member of the Australian Auditing Standards Board and, prior to that, the President of the Accounting Association of Australia and New Zealand for two years.
