The new Institute 2010 – 2012 strategic plan will ensure the Institute continues to be innovative and responsive, and able to meet new challenges.

The Board revised the 2009 - 2011 strategic plan in October 2009 and made amendments which ensure that the Institute’s strategic direction takes account of the changing economic environment.

The focus for 2010:

  • Domestic relevance and global influence underpinned by quality in all our activities. This is demonstrated in the Chartered Accountants Program Review, thought leadership activities, and our IT renewal program
  •
  • Better engagement with members particularly younger members and those in commerce and government
  •
  • Building a constructive culture which encourages experimentation and innovation.
By accomplishing the objectives set out in the Strategic Plan will ensure the Institute becomes ever more relevant to members, maintains our influence with governments and regulators, is more competitive and globally relevant, has a sustainable and growing membership, and is able to attract and recruit the best staff.

The revised objectives help the Institute achieve the vision of ‘leading the profession.’
