The new building brings to life our brand and core values, and creates a strong culture of pride and sense of belonging for the employees who work here and the members they serve.

To maximise the ‘ownership’ of 33 Erskine Street, our brand and core values are represented as part of the design that graphically unites and connects the different areas of the building. The integrated design is inspired by mathematics, geometry and statistics, and tells a story about the Institute on each floor.

The brand and core values are an important part of the Institute and as ‘The writing on the wall,’ they provide a constant reminder of who we are and what we stand for.

Future driven
The ground floor foyer through to level one and two that house meeting and training rooms, use the brand attribute, ‘Future driven’ within the core design.

Each of these first three floors is connected by a flowing spiral pattern with the ground floor hinting at the pattern and, as you progress up the floors, becoming visually more intense. Arriving at level two, which features the main member reception area, the image is at its most striking, with the background taking on our brand colour red to emphasise the spiral pattern.

‘Future driven’ is a core brand value and highlights how the Institute focuses on possibilities, and our openness to new thinking that can uncover opportunities for business growth.

Deliver to win together
Level three features green lines that converge to form an infinity symbol. An emblem of strength, success and continuity, it represents the core value ‘Deliver to win together’. The colour green conjures up life, the environment, health and luck.

We deliver to win together through developing and delivering the best quality tools and solutions to members that support both their personal and business success.

Play it straight
In the colour orange, powerful lines punctuated by dots comprise the design for level four. Inspired by lines and scatter charts, it offers purpose and direction supporting the core value of ‘Play it straight’.

Orange symbolises optimism and is associated with an open-mind, sociability, health, self-confidence and power.

Through ‘Play it straight’ we take responsibility for open, honest and direct two-way communication, and operate with the utmost integrity in interactions with members, fellow staff and other stakeholders.

Expect the best
‘Expect the best’ is the core value represented on level seven. Sudden rises or high points stand out amongst the sequence of blue straight lines in the design.

The colour blue is synonymous with positivity. It is a colour of unlimited dimensions, and associated with intelligence.

We set our standards high and expect the best results across all operations. We strive to be the best in all markets we operate in and set ourselves ‘stretch goals’.

Respect builds success
The core value ‘Respect builds success’ comes to life through a sequence of red organic spirals that merge and grow across level eight.

Red is a colour of revolution and reflects power, warmth and passion.

Respect builds success within the Institute as we engage and support each other, and capitalise on our internal expertise and talents to provide the best service and information for members.
