FBT and Salary Packaging Day 2012 has been designed to provide delegates with the knowledge, practical skills, guidance and commercial approaches to deal with many FBT issues and challenges. Focusing on the effective provision of employee benefits through salary packaging programs, this seminar will also provide insights on how to provide (and receive) maximum value for both employer and employees.

The FBT and Salary Packaging Day 2012 has been specifically designed to help participants understand the key concepts, requirements and opportunities relating to FBT as well as provide tips and traps often encountered in practice.

- Tips and traps of each benefit type including common issues
- Consideration of the numerous exemptions and reductions available
- Key components of the calculation methodologies of each benefit to determine a taxpayer's FBT liability
- Maximising the benefits of a salary packaging program.

David Lilja is a recognised Employment Taxes specialist with extensive experience in the areas of FBT and salary packaging.
David works closely with a broad range of clients across a wide variety of industries, assisting organisations with managing their FBT obligations. He also assists organisations with the development and refinement of salary packaging programs.
David draws on this experience when facilitating seminars providing very practical and commercial solutions in dealing with FBT and salary packaging.

Jason Gaudoin
Senior Manager - Tax Consulting, Crowe Horwath (a WHK Group Firm)
Jason Gaudoin has over 15 years tax and accounting experience, including twelve years in taxation advisory and compliance, gained in both public practice and commercial roles.
His specific area of advanced knowledge is in the field of employment taxes and he has extensive experience in advising on complex FBT issues, salary package initiatives, payroll tax consultancy and general employment related areas such as superannuation and employee terminations. In particular, he has held responsibility for collation and preparation of FBT returns for large listed public companies such as Bankwest and iiNet Ltd, as well as having represented clients on FBT matters before Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT).
