Public Practice Program

Self study and 2 day workshop

The Institute's Public Practice Program (PPP) has been designed to guide your career path decisions as you go into practice and equip you with a range of tools, frameworks and business resources to maximise your potential and your future success as a partner or sole practitioner.

The PPP comprises of 4 self study modules which must be completed prior to attending a 2 day final workshop.

  • Unit 1 Becoming a partner
  • Unit 2 Partner roles and responsibilities
  • Unit 3 Leadership and maintaining the CA Brand
  • Unit 4 Ethics and risk management

The PPP uses a blended approach to learning, combining self-directed learning materials with a 2 day face to face workshop.

Overview

Within 3 weeks of registration, you will receive a comprehensive self-study learning pack that contains all the materials you need to work through.

The recommended duration for the self-study component is approximately 8 weeks with a minimum workload of 60 hours (plus the 2 day workshop - 16 hours). The materials are self-paced, therefore it is entirely up to you how and when you complete this component.

The workshop is a simulation led by two experienced facilitators. The 2 days are presented in 4 sessions and build on the learning outcomes of the 4 self-directed units.
