Interim Update

Each year, the Annual Report highlights how the Institute utilises resources on behalf of members and provides an assessment of the Institute’s strategic performance during the financial year. This Interim Update highlights outcomes and priority issues for the Institute post year end 30 June 2011.

Annual Report 2011

Members of the Institute have very kindly provided some personal insights and professional comments to help tell our story and provide an assessment of the Institute’s strategic performance, in addition to the full financial statements for the year ended 30 June 2011.

The Annual Report 2011 is divided into seven chapters – covering the six strategic goal areas of our Strategic Plan and the corporate governance statement.

Our framework for reporting

For many years, we’ve advocated integrated reporting (broad based business reporting) and we aim to lead by example. New this year, we’re one of the first member bodies in Australia to engage our auditors to conduct a limited assurance review on the non-financial information in the Annual Report.

As there is no publicly available reporting framework for member-based organisations such as the Institute, we follow the principles and guidance in our thought leadership papers on broad based business reporting and enhancing not-for-profit annual and financial reporting.
