  • Lee White FCA, Chief Executive Officer

    Lee White

    Lee White FCA is the Chief Executive Officer.

    Previously Lee held the role of Executive General Manager - Members, where he was responsible for leading the Institute’s focus areas of financial and non-financial reporting; audit; taxation; superannuation and financial advisory services; professional standards; quality control; professional conduct; government relations and thought leadership.

    Lee also oversaw Sales and Marketing, Learning and Business Solutions and Regional Offices at the Institute.

    Lee has more than 25 years of experience in the accounting profession. Prior to joining the Institute, he was Chief Accountant for the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), where he led policy and practice in accounting, financial reporting, auditing and ethics. Prior to ASIC, Lee was Assistant Auditor-General for NSW.

  • Wendy Zammit, Head of Governance

    Wendy Zammit

    Wendy Zammit is the Head of Governance and is responsible for providing leadership and support to the Board and Board Committees, to develop and administer the Board’s governance framework, compliance, and reporting and disclosure obligations.

    Wendy has held a number of roles with the Institute, the previous role being Manager National Secretariat. She has had broad and varied experience working in corporate governance, office management and management consultancy roles for Cullen Egan Dell, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Village Roadshow and Michael Edgley International.

  • Yasser El-Ansary CA, General Manager of Leadership & Quality

    Yasser ElAnsary

    Yasser El-Ansary is the General Manager of Leadership & Quality.

    Joining the Institute in early 2009, Yasser has over 15 years of experience in a variety of business and advisory roles, having started his career in the specialist field of tax.

    Yasser is responsible for leading the Institute’s public policy team, which spans a wide variety of disciplines dealing with major issues that impact businesses and the broader economy.

    An important part of Yasser's role is to work closely with the federal government and its agencies on policy and administration matters, as well other regulatory bodies both within Australia and abroad. In addition, he is involved in developing and executing the organisation-wide strategic imperatives of the Institute, and talking to its 70,000 plus members right across the country.

    Prior to his current role, Yasser was the Institute's Tax Counsel, and has held previous positions with Australand Holdings Limited, PwC, the Federal Department of the Treasury and Rio Tinto Limited.

    Yasser is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Australian National University and a Master of Taxation Law from the University of New South Wales.

  • Barbara Bell, General Manager Strategy and Business Excellence

    Barbara Bell

    Barbara Bell has held a number of roles with the Institute, commencing as National Careers Marketing Manager. Prior to this she spent 10 years working in the shipping industry and the university sector. In 2006, she was appointed as General Manager Corporate Strategy and Planning and moved into her current position in 2008.

    Barbara is responsible for the development and implementation of the Institute’s corporate strategy and production of the Strategic Plan and Organisational Business Plan. Her division is responsible for business and competitive intelligence, data integrity and analysis, business improvement activities and corporate program management via the project management office.

  • Adelle Evans FCA, Acting General Manager for the Chartered Accountants Program & Admissions

    Adelle Evans
    Adelle Evans FCA was appointed to the role of Acting General Manager for the Chartered Accountants Program & Admissions.

    Adelle is a long standing employee of the Institute and prior to this role, she was General Manager NSW since 2008 and worked across many areas, including the Chartered Accountants Program, Risk and Business Continuity and Thought Leadership.

    Adelle is a Chartered Accountant and has been a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia since 1987 and a Fellow since 1999. Prior to the Institute, Adelle worked in public practice both in Australia and overseas, as well as investment and banking.

  • Marie Maky, General Manager Human Resources

    Marie Maky

    Marie Maky is General Manager Human Resources. She has several years experience as Human Resources Director for staffing services company, Kelly Services.

    Marie has more than 20 years experience in human resources in senior roles within manufacturing, biomedical and telecommunications environments, in a number of blue chip organisations including Dulux, Alcatel, and Cochlear.

    The Human Resources team is responsible for ensuring that the people strategies and practices adopted by the Institute support our cultural goals and deliver sustainable performance improvement. Marie’s responsibilities include organisation development, staffing, reward and recognition, health and well-being, learning and development, and talent management.

  • Helen Black, Head of Corporate Communications

    Helen Black

    Helen Black is Head of Corporate Communications and joined the Institute in March 2010.

    She is responsible for the development and implementation of the Institute’s corporate communications strategy and oversees the Institute’s press office function, as well as the internal communications and Charter magazine teams.

    Most recently, Helen was the Business Development Director (Government) for Minter Ellison. Prior to that she was Corporate Communications Manager for Swiss Reinsurance Company (Australia & New Zealand).

    Helen graduated in 1994 and her career has been focused within the professional and financial services sector.

  • Anne McCotter, General Manager Learning and Business Solutions

    Anne McCotter

    Anne McCotter is the General Manager of Learning and Business Solutions. She brings with her more than 20 years of experience in financial services.

    Anne is responsible for Training and Development, Member Benefits Program, Knowledge Centre the Business Partner and Sponsorship programs.

    Prior to joining the Institute, Anne was the Brand and marketing Manager at Wizard Financial Services where she was responsible for positioning the brand in the Australian market. Prior to this, Anne held various product, marketing and communication roles for AMP.

  • Bill Palmer FCA, Director International Relations

    Bill Palmer

    Bill Palmer FCA is the Institute’s International Relations, responsible for driving the reach and influence of the Chartered Accountants brand in Asia.

    From 2004 to 2009, Bill was the Institute’s General Manager, Standards and Public Affairs, where he oversaw the Institute’s technical and advocacy work, including professional and technical standards and quality review.

    Prior to joining the Institute, Bill was a partner for 24 years with PwC, practising in Indonesia, Australia and Singapore.

    Bill is a member of the Australian Government’s Financial Reporting Panel, a body established to hear disputes that may arise between the corporate regulator and a company in relation to financial reporting requirements.

  • Leo Morta, Chief Information Officer

    Leo Morta

    Leo Morta is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and is responsible for leading and executing integrated IT service delivery across ICAA and NZICA.

    Leo is based in Wellington and comes from the Institute of Environmental Science and Research in New Zealand where he has been the CIO for the past four years. He has an extensive background in IT with experience in consulting, systems architecture, programme management, strategy development and executive leadership.

  • Pat Reddy FCA, Chief Operating Officer

    Pat Reddy

    Pat Reddy FCA is Chief Operating Officer and oversees the areas of Finance, Risk, Customer Transactions, Facilities, Strategy & Business Excellence and Learning & Business Solutions.

    He has been with the Institute since November 2005. Previously, Pat held the role of General Manager Corporate Services.

    Pat directs and delivers the Institute annual budget and long term financial and ICT strategy. He operates as a strategic financial advisor to senior management and leads the analysis of the Institutes’ business objectives, resource allocation and financial targets and measurements across the entire business.

    He is a member of the Australian and South African Institutes, as well as the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK). He holds a Master of Business from Monash University. Pat has worked for KPMG in South Africa and the United Kingdom. He has also held a number of senior financial management roles with Goodman Fielder, and more recently was CFO at Vittoria Coffee.

  • Simon Grant FCA, General Manager Members

    Simon Grant

    Simon Grant FCA is the General Manager Members responsible for all the State and Territories offices as well as overseeing the Sales and Marketing functions of the Institute.

    From 2002 to 2012, Simon held the role of General Manager of the Queensland office, where he was responsible for the delivery of member services and training to Queensland’s 6,500 members and the delivery of the CA Program to approximately 1,500 candidates.

    Prior to joining the Institute, Simon had seven years as a Director in Deloitte Corporate Finance in Brisbane and prior to that worked for a niche retail bank in Sydney for seven years as their Country Head of Credit for Australia. Simon qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1987 with an antecedent firm that is now part Deloitte and then went overseas to the United Kingdom and the United States working in a practice and banking environment.

  • Tina Fisher, General Manager Sales and Marketing

    Tina Fisher

    Tina Fisher is the General Manager Sales & Marketing responsible for brand and marketing strategy, sales, digital and design, careers and member marketing and customer service.

    Prior to joining the Institute in October 2009, Tina served as Director of Marketing for Accor Hospitality Australia for two and a half years. During this period online bookings grew significantly and she led the alignment of the local business with the global brand strategy.

    Between February 1996 and March 2006 Tina was a member of the senior management team at Southern Sun hotels, Africa’s largest and leading hotel chain and as marketing director, was responsible for ecommerce, reservations, marketing, public relations, revenue management, strategic projects and loyalty programs. Prior to this, Tina spent seven years as marketing manager with RCI, a Wyndham Worldwide organisation.

  • Tess Everingham, Acting General Manager NSW

    Tess Everingham

    Tess Everingham was appointed to the role of Acting General Manager NSW in April 2012. In her new role, Tess will continue to support and represent Institute members and Chartered Accountants Program candidates in NSW.

    Supported by her team, she is responsible for the ongoing management of NSW operations, member advisory panels and NSW Council, delivery of member services and events, as well as building strong stakeholder relationships and adding value to Institute members.

    Tess has been with the Institute since 2006 during which time she has worked closely with members in a Client Relationship Management role. Prior to the Institute, Tess was actively involved in the training and development industry where she was employed at a senior management level working both in Australia and overseas.

  • Penny Ellenger, General Manager Qld

    Penny Ellenger

    Penny Ellenger is the General Manager for Queensland. Penny joined the Institute in September 2005 and has more than 20 years experience gained from a variety of professional roles working in the UK, Europe and Australia.

    Penny is tasked with the responsibility of supporting and representing Institute Members and Chartered Accountants Program Candidates throughout the sprawling state of Queensland. Supported by her team in Brisbane and in regional centres throughout the State, she is responsible for the ongoing management of Queensland operations, member advisory panels and council, delivery of member services and events, as well as building strong stakeholder relationships and adding value to the members.

    Prior to joining the Institute, Penny held several senior positions during a 10-year period of service with global recruitment and business services firm Hays, with whom she moved to Australia in 1997.

  • Duncan Pittard, General Manager Vic and Tas

    Duncan Pittard

    Duncan Pittard is the General Manager for Victoria and Tasmania. Duncan joined the Institute in March 2004 and has more than 20 years experience in the accounting and finance profession.

    Duncan is responsible for leading and directing the performance of the Victorian and Tasmanian regions to ensure that the Institute effectively represents the needs of its membership and promotes the importance of the profession. He is responsible for the ongoing management of member advisory panels, delivery of member services and events, building proactive and effective stakeholder relationships and strategic planning of regional activities.

    Prior to his current role, Duncan was a Senior Relationship Manager. He has also held positions at Hays, Email, IOOF and Deloitte.

  • Gary Arcus, General Manager WA

    Gary Arcus

    Gary Arcus was appointed General Manager for the Institute’s Western Australian branch in September 2008 and is responsible for advocating the interests of local members on both state and national issues.

    He manages the state office, which delivers all of the Institute’s services to WA members, as well as the regional governance role outlined in the By-Laws.

    Gary’s career has been in management of member-based organisations in Western Australia in several industries with a focus on training and industry representation.

  • Mark Jones, General Manager SA and NT

    Mark Jones

    Mark Jones is the General Manager SA/NT and is responsible for planning, leading, directing and managing the performance of the South Australian and Northern Territory region to ensure that the Institute achieves its strategic business goals and key performance indicators.

    This includes government lobbying, promoting the Chartered Accountants brand, delivery of member services, building effective member relationships, account management of key segments, advocacy, and maximising the Institute’s opportunities to deliver our products and services, as well as the management and administration of a number of council, committees, advisory groups and panels who act in the interest of SA/NT members and as a channel between members, the Institute’s Board and management.

    Mark spent the first 13 years of his career in the advertising and marketing profession before moving to the Securities Institute of Australia (SIA) as Regional Manager SA/NT.

    Having been with the SIA (now Finsia) for six years, he moved to the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia in April 2000.

  • Renee Le Grande, General Manager ACT

    Renee LeGrande

    Renee Le Grande joined the Institute in 2005 as Federal Government Relationship Manager and was appointed as General Manager for the Australian Capital Territory in 2007.

    With a strong government background, a major component of Renee's role is to form strategic working relationships with state and federal governments. Renee manages the needs of the ACT membership and promotes the importance of the profession throughout the region. Renee is also responsible for the management of member advisory panels, the ACT Regional Council and delivery of member services and events.

    Renee commenced her career as a cadet journalist with Fairfax newspapers and brings more than 20 years experience in senior management roles. Prior to commencing at the Institute, she was the General Manager and a Director for Media Monitors.
