GAA welcomes Germany

The addition of the Institute of Public Auditors in Germany heralds the arrival of Continental Europe to the Global Accounting Alliance (GAA).

Formed in 2005, the GAA represents more than 775,000 professional accountants working in more than 165 countries around the world, who are members of the now 11 institutes.

The Institute’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer Elaine McFadzean said the GAA was created to promote quality services, share information and collaborate on important international issues.

‘With the globalisation of economies, international accounting is becoming increasingly important. Our members have another valuable partner to collaborate with on professional issues, now Germany is part of the GAA,’ Ms McFadzean said.
