Understanding your assessment results

Once your Skills Assessment is complete you will be given one of the results listed below:

Assessment Outcome:

This advises whether or not your qualifications are at least comparable to an Australian Bachelor degree.

In the letter you will be advised whether or not you are suitable or not suitable for your nominated ANZSCO occupation to migrate to Australia under the general skilled migration scheme.

If your assessment meets the requirements for your nominated ANZSCO occupation it can be used in conjunction with your application for migration purposes. Please note that the assessment outcome does not imply that your application to migrate will be successful as such decisions are the responsibility of the Australian Department of Immigration & Citizenship (DIAC).

However if your assessment does not satisfy the minimum core knowledge requirements for your nominated skilled occupation and should you still wish to migrate to Australia, you should carry out further study in the required core knowledge areas as listed in the letter.

Membership of the Institute:

The letter also outlines further advice regarding completion of additional studies in order to enrol into the Chartered Accountants Program or become a member of the Institute.

Further Information:

Included with your assessment letter is an attachment that outlines information about the accountancy profession in Australia, assessment of qualifications, accredited subjects in Australian universities and becoming a member of the Institute.
