Service and educational pre-requisites to obtaining a CPP

Service and educational requirements vary depending on the CPP applicant’s pathway to admission as a member.
- By-law 10 admission on completion of the Chartered Accountants Program
- At least 2 years experience as an employee of a members in public practice
OR - Two years post admission experience in public practice
- By-law 12 admission as a member of a recognised overseas body, teacher of accountancy etc:
- Demonstrate a satisfactory understanding of Australian Corporations Law and Australian Taxation Law. Generally this requires completion of a conversion course through an accredited higher education provider.
AND - at least 2 years Australian experience in public practice or at least 2 years experience in public practice post admission as a member of any one of the approved overseas bodies (R2/209)
