Income based concessions
These concessions principally relate to the cost of the CPP rather than the obligations of holding a CPP.
Where a member's income from the activities relevant to the holding of a CPP will be $7,500 per annum or less, no annual CPP subscription fee will apply (this is known as a concessional nil-rate CPP) and completion of the Public Practice Program is not a pre-requisite requirement.
Where a member's income (being salary and profit share, however described, from the practice) will be more than $7,500 and less than $29,000 per annum, the annual subscription rate is reduced to only one-third of the full annual fee.
Details of current subscription rates are available in the CPP application form.
Note this summary of tailored PI insurance products may be relevant to concessional CPP holders.
