The Chartered Accountants Financial Reporting Handbook 2011 and Auditing and Assurance Handbook 2011 from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia are essential reference tools designed to meet the demands of today’s dynamic economic environment.
Financial Reporting Handbook 2011
Developed for Chartered Accountants, accounting students and other professionals in Australian business, the Chartered Accountants Financial Reporting Handbook 2011 is an essential guide to Australian accounting standards.
The handbook comprises the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) accounting standards and interpretations issued by the AASB up to 1 December 2010, together with the professional and ethical standards most relevant to financial reporting.
This edition will provide you with all the new, amended and compiled standards and interpretations applicable for the December 2010 and June 2011 reporting seasons, as well as commentary on the standards and the future of financial reporting. This handbook also explains the reduced disclosure regime (RDR) in detail as it relates to each of the relevant standards.
Auditing and Assurance Handbook 2011
The Chartered Accountants Auditing and Assurance Handbook 2011 contains applicable Australian audit and assurance standards and guidance statements, as well as professional and ethical standards. This year's Handbook contains the complete set of revised ASA auditing standards issued as a result of the AUASB's clarity project and operative for audits of periods beginning on, or after 1 January 2010.
The AUASB has also issued new Standards for review engagements and assurance engagements. It has continued to update and revise its guidance material, and has issued several Guidance Statements this year, including GS 016 Bank Confirmation Requests. All the Guidance Statements are included in this book.
Both Handbooks are available from the UNSW bookshop (with candidate discounts) or can be ordered from the publisher John Wiley.
