Apply for the Chartered Accountants Program

Your next step is to apply for provisional membership so we can assess your eligibility for the Program.  This page will explain what you need to have at hand to apply online as well as how to submit the application itself once you are ready to go.

You can apply at any time during the year but you'll need to allow at least four weeks for your application to be processed. Please check your term dates and enrolment periods to ensure that your application is processed before enrolment for your first module closes.

Read and understand the Program regulations, Candidate terms and conditions and Academic code of conduct below. You will be asked to agree to them during the provisional membership application process:

Meet the entry requirements

 
  • Identify which academic pathway is most suited to your circumstances
  • Check that your employment meets the Practical Experience Requirements including whether your employer is already an Accredited Training Employer (ATE)
  • Have a mentor arranged who meets the Program's Practical Experience requirements

When you are ready to submit your application for assessment, please do the following:

1.  Log in to MyAccount from charteredaccountantsanz.com (under Quick links > MyAccount)
2.  Click on Applications tab at the top of the dashboard and follow the prompts to create and submit a new application. 

Follow the instructions provided at the end of the online form to ensure your application is correctly submitted for assessment.

Don't have a login but ready to apply now?

You can Apply for the Program and create a login at the same time. Please note that you will need to have a unique email address to apply. Group email addresses cannot be used. Once you have registered you will be emailed your Login and Password so that you can submit any applications created for assessment.

What happens next?
Once you have summited your application, you will see the status of the application updated to ‘submitted for assessment’. The system will also note in red that the application has been locked.  If you wish to submit additional information after the application has been locked, you will need to email this to assessment@charteredaccountantsanz.com.

You will be able to track the status of your application using the login steps included in the ‘Ready to apply now’ section above. 

 
If your application is approved, we will notify you via email with details of how you can enrol in your first Chartered Accountants Program module.

 

Note: Applications to register for the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) Program must be made via MICPA, instead of using our online form.
